Some Indonesian passport holders may be eligible for a visa on arrival if they have a valid residence permit from an eligible country, including the United States, a European Union member state, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand or Canada. Depending on the eligibility conditions, they may receive a 14-day or 60-day visa on arrival.

This does not mean that all Indonesian passport holders can travel to Dubai without arranging a visa in advance. In addition, if you live in Indonesia and do not meet the conditions for the visa-on-arrival facility, you should apply for your Dubai visa before travelling.

The 3–4 working day timeframe is a standard processing estimate, not a guarantee. Some applications may take longer if additional checks or documents are required.

The right visa depends mainly on how long you plan to stay and how you intend to travel.

30-Day Dubai Tourist Visa

A 30-day Dubai tourist visa is a suitable option for Indonesian travellers visiting Dubai for a holiday, shopping trip, family visit or short getaway. It allows you to stay in the UAE for up to 30 days, subject to the conditions mentioned on your issued visa.

60-Day Dubai Tourist Visa

A 60-day Dubai tourist visa is a better option if you want more time in the UAE, whether you are planning a longer holiday, visiting family or exploring Dubai at a relaxed pace. It allows a stay of up to 60 days, subject to the conditions of the visa issued to you.

Urgent Dubai Visa

An urgent Dubai visa can be useful if your travel date is approaching and you need your visa application processed as quickly as possible. Expedited processing may be available depending on the circumstances, but it does not guarantee visa approval or a specific issuance time, as the application remains subject to the applicable immigration process.

Transit Visa Dubai

A Dubai transit visa is intended for eligible travellers who are passing through the UAE before continuing to another destination. It is different from a regular tourist visa, and the applicable visa type and permitted stay can depend on your flight itinerary and individual circumstances.

Single-Entry vs Multiple-Entry Dubai Visa

A single-entry Dubai visa allows you to enter the UAE once, while a multiple-entry visa allows you to enter the UAE more than once during its applicable validity period, subject to the conditions of the visa. A single-entry option may be suitable for a straightforward holiday, while frequent travellers or those planning to leave and return to the UAE may need a multiple-entry option.

Airport-to-Airport Visa Change

An airport-to-airport visa change is a separate service for eligible travellers who are already in the UAE and need to change their visa status. Whether this option is available depends on your existing visa and individual circumstances, so it is best to check your eligibility and arrangements before making any travel plans.

For a standard Dubai tourist visa application, you should generally prepare:

• Clear colour copy of your passport
• Recent passport-size photograph
• Passport last-page copy, where applicable
• Previous UAE/Dubai exit stamp, if applicable
• Flight details
• Hotel or accommodation details
• Any additional documents requested during processing

The exact documents can vary according to the applicant and visa category. Providing clear documents from the beginning can help avoid unnecessary delays.

Your Passport Matters

Your passport should generally have at least six months’ validity for a UAE visa application. The copy should be clear, complete and easy to read.

Before uploading your passport, check that:

• Your name is clearly visible
• Passport number is readable
• Date of birth is correct
• Passport expiry date is visible
• The photograph and personal details can be clearly seen
• No part of the passport is cut off
• There is no glare, blur or distortion

A small mistake in passport information can create a much bigger problem later, so it is worth checking everything before submission.

Dubai Visa Photo Requirements for Indonesian Applicants

Use a recent, clear photograph showing your current appearance.

Your photo should:

• Show your full face clearly
• Have a plain/light background
• Be sharp and good quality
• Avoid heavy shadows
• Not contain filters or excessive editing
• Show your current appearance

Avoid using casual selfies, heavily edited photographs or images where part of your face is covered.

Dubai Visa Documents for Children

Children travelling to Dubai also require their own travel documentation.

Depending on the circumstances, you may need:

• Child’s valid passport
• Recent photograph
• Parent or legal guardian documents
• Flight or accommodation information
• Consent or supporting documents where applicable
• Additional documents if requested during processing

Families should prepare children’s documents at the same time as the adults’ applications rather than leaving them until the last minute.

Spend a couple of minutes checking:

• Full name
• Passport number
• Date of birth
• Nationality
• Visa type
• Entry type
• Issue date
• Visa validity/expiry
• Permitted stay
• Any additional conditions

These two terms are easy to confuse. Visa validity refers to the period in which you are allowed to use the visa to enter the UAE, while permitted stay refers to how long you are allowed to remain in the country after entering.

For example, suppose your 30-day Dubai visa is issued with an entry validity period that allows you to enter the UAE within the specified window. You enter Dubai on 10 October. Your 30-day permitted stay is then counted according to the conditions on the visa from your entry, rather than giving you another 30 days from the date the visa was issued.

So, the date your visa is issued and the date you enter Dubai are not necessarily the same thing.

Always check the actual dates and permitted stay shown on your approved visa before travelling. Entry-visa validity and permitted stay can vary according to the visa category and applicable conditions. Current UAE visa information confirms that different visa types have different validity and stay rules.

Visa Approval Is Not Guaranteed

We can assist with your application, but no visa service can guarantee that an application will be approved. The final decision belongs to the relevant UAE immigration authorities.

Processing Can Take Longer

Our standard processing estimate is 3–4 working days.

Visa Fees Are Non-Refundable

Additional Documents May Be Requested

Not every application is identical. Additional documents or information may be requested during processing. If this happens, providing the requested information promptly can help prevent avoidable delays.

Security Deposit Is Separate

No security deposit is required for the 30-day Dubai visa. For the 60-day Dubai visa, a AED 1,500 security deposit is required separately from the visa fee. The deposit is subject to the applicable refund conditions and will be refunded according to the relevant terms after the visa period, provided the required conditions are met.
